Karen，是我的織布老友，我們認識已經超過10年。
從她還在東吳大學教英文時就認識了。
她退休後，回美國照顧她年邁的父親，在她父親過世後她回到台灣定居。
她常會到幅新手織來選線，和我聊聊最近在織些什麼？
我們會交換一下意見，手織同好有講不完的話。

I have known my old weaving friend Karen for more than 10 years since when she was an English teacher at Soochow University. After she retired, she returned to the USA to take care of her father. Then she came back to Taiwan to live permanently after her father passed away. She comes to Founder-Tek from time to time to choose yarns and see what I am doing. We always have happy "weaver's talk" to exchange ideas...etc. Thank you to Karen for sharing her weaving journey with us. She would love to meet weavers in Taiwan. 你好，我是Karen Cisney。我的織布之旅從2007年開始。
那時，我在紐西蘭騎自行車之旅途中，參觀了南島ASHFORD的展示商店。
原本，我進去只打算買一台紡紗機，但最後還買了一台Ashford Knitter (折疊式簡易織布機）。
然後就在那展示商店內開始織布。
看到布料從我手指的一些簡單動作中流出，真是不可思議。我被迷住了!!
當時那條藍色圍巾並不漂亮，但這是我織布的一個開始。
其實，在我購買了摺疊式簡易織布機之前的幾年，
我有一本黛博拉·錢德勒（Deborah Chandler）的「學習編織-learning to weave」
我讀了他兩遍，夢想著有一天會織布。我知道會有這個可能性。
